Ukraine Takeover/Coup By West, Sanctions On Russia And Oil Price Wars; Will It Lead To World War III?
First, the US created a CIA led coup that toppled an elected leader in Ukraine. The US and it's NATO allies then kicked Russia out of G8, and started kicking the bear around in other ways, just to show him that the US meant business. The US backed far right Neo Nazis and helped them engineer a take over of Ukraine, and they are now in government positions at high levels.

The US military under Obama has poked the bear a couple more times by installing nuclear missiles in a ring around Russia right on it's border, plus missile defense systems to neutralize Russia and make it defenseless and unable to attack anyone, theoretically. This is the equivalent of putting hundreds of nuclear missiles into Soviet Cuba, right next to the United State, and we all know how that turned out. That incident almost started WWIII.

Recently, multiple US government officials have been 'installed' into the Ukranian government at high levels, as just another poke in the eye to the Russians, just to show them how powerful the US, and that it can do whatever it wants, right on the border of Russia.

The equivalent of what happened in Ukraine on Russias borders would be that Russia came into Alaska and caused a coup of the Alaskan government via the KGB stirring up protests against the government for perceived made up reasons. By whatever means, Russia then takes over Alaska, via causing an election to be held after the overthrow of the government by the 'people'.
Then electronic vote rigging, which is oh so easy to do these days, makes a whole slate of Russians the winners in an election. Voila! As a result, Russia now owns Alaska, and didn't have to pay a dime for it. Russia can now take over Alaska legally, just by signing a couple pieces of paper drawn up in a backroom.

It seems that is it ok for the US to assassinate leaders and take over their countries, and then install US friendly dictators, but it is not ok for the Russians to do it.

In response to western powers taking over Ukraine, Putin 'toppled' the region known as Crimea, for the same reasons that the US toppled the government in Ukraine. Tit for tat is fair, in the global political chess game, don't you know? Russia held a vote and confirmed that this is what the 'people' wanted, just like the US did in the larger Ukraine.
But the US did not like Russia taking back what was just taken, so it responded with sanctions, embargoes and seizing of bank accounts outside of Russia.
Whether it was engineered or not, a sudden drop in oil prices, plus a collapse of the ruble, is serving to bring Russia to it's knees. But is a desperate Russia really what is wanted?

Russia is also responding to the sanctions, by imposing it's own sanctions and by taking all of the oil dollar trading out of the US dollar and putting it into BRIC currencies, which favors China, and it's other 'partners' who want Russian oil.
